My favorite character
My favorite character out of these plays we read is one from a different play than my favorite she is from the play The effect of Gama Rays on man in the moon marigolds. Her name is Tillie and she is the sweetest most optimistic girl. She had a pretty lousy life but she always found good in everything or at least looked on the positive bright side of things. I like that kind of a person and I am very envious of her for keeping this mind set.
My favorite play
I think that my favorite play that we have read this year would have to be All My Son's. Although it is a very sad book and somewhat depressing I really liked how it was more of a book you have to think about to understand. If you don't pay close attention to certain ways that things are said for example or the things the little details of the play you will certainly not get the same meaning out of the book. You especially won't get the meaning that the author was intending.

Hearing the whole story
We sometimes don't think about things enough we just simply write them off before hearing the whole story. We get an idea in our heads that we think is right and we stick with it and that is just how it is. We don't try hard enough to see what the other guy is trying to say or explain where they are coming from. We can all be guilty of this I believe it is just human nature.
In the play this is how it is with Walter I think in a way because for some reason he just isn't happy and sure it isn't right what he is doing but also he is dealing with something. No one but mama actually takes some sort of action to try to help the matter by giving him the money. This is an example of trying to understand the other person's situation.

Holding on to your dreams
If you simply just think positive and work hard good things will happen to you. This picture shows that even though you might have to do some unpleasant, difficult things there will be a pay off at the end of the day. If you just keep working at it things will get better. Hard workers always receive the the rewards eventually. It may not be the way you thought it once would be but you will know when the reward comes.
This picture reminds me of the play in many ways because of how hard they all worked to simply live day by day. It's like when mama had to do what she had to do for the good of the family no matter who liked it. Also when Ruth thought she was doing what was best for the family by aborting the baby because of the hardship that would follow. This picture gives you a new perspective on life as well as the play. In the play they all gave up a lot of things but one thing they didn't was the dream that had deep down in side and they never gave up.
Turning the other cheek
Most times it is best to simply turn the other cheek and not let people get the satisfaction of seeing you upset, is whats best. This pictures displays that even though turning the other cheek can be difficult it can pay off in the end. If you are the bigger person this shows others that and they will respect you for this.
This picture and phrase imitates the play in ways of kind of swallowing your pride when needed. There are certain situations in this play that the character knew it was best to just let things go. An example of this would be when Ruth really wanted to tell Walter how she really felt about him many times and how she felt that what he was doing wasn't right but instead kept things inside.
